you have to want to learn, it will be tough to start out with, your fingers might hurt, it may be frustrating because of difficulty with chords, but it is such a rewarding instrument.
it may be slightly easier if you have had past musical instrument experience, also a good teacher is helpful, most of all enjoy it or whats the point in playing
i learned in one day, it's actually really easy, but it's hard to be good at it. i kinda suck, but i get how it works and all..you just need to practice it a lot.
It's like anything else… for some it takes hard work and dedication to be able to be good at it. For other it will be easier. And for a select few it come natural.
Its easy to play easy songs, but its really hard to play it properly. And it takes a lot of practice to be able to move your fingers fast and to change chords and notes seamlessly… if you put in the effort you could be quite good in a few years.
i would say it's kinda in the middle, but that's just me. im learning guitar right now and the most important thing is PRACTICE!
i try to practice at least an hour a day, maybe more. it's really fun though. i like guitar a lot.
i've been playing guitar for a while like 3 years and i'm not that good so yea it takes a lot of effort i'm just now learning tabs but if you want learn quick i suggest you learn cords like A,E ,Em,D,G,C
I do it all the time, I simply pick up the guitar and start playing.
Then again, I have been playing for 6 years……
Look, it`s easier for some people to learn if they have talent, remember that talent beats practice. But you will need to practice a lot to become good.
Tip……
It may be easier to learn and play if you have long fingers.
i have an acoustic guitar and it's pretty hard. i have a problem with moving my fingers. (i can't move my fingers fast enough on the cords) but it really depends on the song you're trying to learn. i am learning a rhythm that my uncle taught me to get me used to moving my fingers and it's helping me. but when you first get one, don't expect to go on youtube and learn right away. you need a starter song. (amazing grace, happy birthday, twinkle twinkle little star,…..) and before you can do those songs, you need to learn a lot of cords. there is about 50 cords and they're all different. so yes, it is pretty complicated but when you're a master at it and you can do songs without messing up, it's very fun. also, it's very frustrating. when you are learing a song and you mess up on a cord, it makes you want to throw it up againt a wall.

it probably takes effort, just like any other musical instrument.
Good Luck. [:

its not quick and easy
but like anythin u just need to practice, practice, practice
at first it hurts ur fingers…but after a while, knowing yoiur creating beautiful music..it's all worthwhile.
It does take effort..but it's worth it. take lessons first..and THEN buy the guitar.
it's like buying a car, if you don't have your license. learn the basics first..and then buy your own guitar.
get a book that teaches you the basics, and then when you've mastered simple notes, and little songs, you can learn a full song with many notes.
Good Luck!
