How to get a clicky sound out of a bass guitar?

Ok, so. Im to clicky of guitar. told pick helps. does want clicky sound. if how the HELP. I mexican bass through BT1000 helps any.
Im talking a pick. mainly but slap.

Do you mean like slap bass?

Just pick hard with your fingers, Play fast. I usually get a smoother tone with a pick, and clicky bass sound when i use my fingers
